An econometric analysis compares Italy with other three European countries", discussa nella sessione di Luglio del 2010 (prima seduta dell'a.a. 2009/2010) presenta il pregio di aver sottoposto a verifica econometrica una delle questioni più rilevanti e dibattute per l'economia italiana, precisamente l'andamento negativo -a partire dal 1995- della Produttività Totale dei Fattori (TFP). Il tesista ha messo in evidenza la poca consistenza e le aporie delle argomentazioni presenti nella letteratura italiana al riguardo. Gli strumenti utilizzati nell'analisi applicata sono quelli dell'econometria moderna, che presenta difficoltà e complessità che si collocano, nella norma, al di sopra delle competenze di un bravo laureato triennale.
